The ‘new nude’
Over the weekend, I ran across two articles, one old, one new hailing the coming of the “new nude.” New? Yep — in the sense that the “universal” term no longer means “for white/fair-skinned people only.” (Note my flippant use of quote marks.)
Am I happy that Louboutins and lingerie (finally) come in a variety of hues? Of course. Is it some sort of revelation that the fashion world now deems me worthy of recognition? Absolutely not. After all, my “new nude” has been en vogue around these parts since 1982.
